The story
On the eve of the dance competition, Xandra's boyfriend Zayn locks her in his car under the blazing sun so that Melinda Qualls can take the championship. Pinned down by bodyguards, Xandra begs him to spare her, but he raises the club, whispering that it will only hurt for a moment.
As her shattered leg twists beneath her, Xandra is left with nothing but his hollow promise to take responsibility for her forever.
