For three years Clara has been the perfect wife—gentle, tolerant, silent—while her husband Liam built his company. She cooked his favorite meals, organized his files, and quietly fed him the ideas that opened his first investor's door, all while hiding her own top-tier designer certification in a metal box. On their third wedding anniversary, Liam rushes off to Vanessa's project, orders a chestnut cake Clara is allergic to, and forgets the date entirely.
