My girlfriend of four years died and I was suspected of murder.

A man has dated Scarlett for four years, and on graduation day, the day they break up, they finally sleep together. He bitterly calls it compensation for four years of his life; she tearfully asks if he will marry her. The next morning, as he prepares to leave with a ring and flowers, the police arrest him for her murder.

In the interrogation room, Captain Miller lays out the evidence: Scarlett died in the hotel room the man booked, a perfect locked-room mystery; his DNA and fingerprints cover her body; she was bruised and asphyxiated with a towel bearing only his prints. A crime scene investigator himself, he sees the closed chain of evidence and trembles, knowing he left the hotel hours earlier and never returned. If no one entered or exited, who bound her again?

He must suppress his grief and prove his innocence, or the real killer will walk free.
