My Brother Actually "Resurrected" After His Death

Jessica Roberts has spent years funding her sickly brother John's care, sending money home while he remained too ill to work. When her parents call from overseas to say John has died in Italy, she borrows 100,000 dollars for the funeral and promises 5,000 dollars a month to support them.

Then a photo arrives from her cousin Katie: a party scene overseas, and the man at its centre looks exactly like John, down to the burn scar and bat tattoo on his ankle. Her mother calls again, asking for another 100,000 dollars, and Jessica begins to suspect the illness, the death and the debts were never what they seemed.

A medical student named Alex Ravin, newly returned from Italy, tells her neuroblastoma patients rarely live long, and that her brother may have been misdiagnosed.
