Rejecting Me for Another

For eight years, Raymond Osborn has stood by Beverly Galvan, helping her build a company from nothing while she refused his proposals again and again. Then he sees the marriage certificate she posts online—her name joined with his brother Timothy's, wedding rings on their hands and a faint bump at her belly. When he questions her, she tells him Timothy is unwell and warns him not to make a scene.

Raymond leaves a public comment wishing the couple a lifetime of joy, and Beverly's furious call follows, scolding him like a subordinate. Timothy claims the marriage is only a favor until he recovers, but Beverly's cold words cut deeper than any refusal, and Raymond finally understands where he has always stood.

As he quietly offers to sell his shares to fellow shareholder Erika Hayes, Beverly returns and questions him, her suspicions rising. The man who once waited without end begins to consider a life that is finally his own.
