The Assistant and The Axe

On a desperate night drive to reach his wife's dying grandfather, Alex pulls into a service plaza leased by the Ross family and parks in a reserved spot. He leaves his number on the dash. Inside, word spreads of a maniac smashing a car outside — and Alex finds his custom Lincoln wrecked by an axe, the attacker none other than Kevin Shaw, his wife Isabelle's personal assistant.

Kevin sneers that he earns enough to wreck any domestic car, and that the plaza's two reserved spots belong to Isabelle and to him — a revelation that tells Alex his marriage is a sham. When Alex's father-in-law, mistaken for a stranger, pleads with Kevin, the assistant only mocks him, then blocks every attempt to buy another vehicle, ordering his security guards to seize phones and silence anyone who tries to call for help.

With the grandfather's last goodbye slipping away and the plaza turned into Kevin's private kingdom, Alex must decide how far he will let this petty tyrant push him.
