The Custody Battle: Three Families in One House

In the Sterling household, a marriage built as a corporate merger has long since soured. Her mother parades young companions in front of her father, who keeps a photoshopped image of his lost love Vivian on his phone. The only reason they stayed together was to give their daughter a complete family.

Now everything has changed. Vivian has returned to the States, and Arthur Stone, the first love her mother believed dead, is alive. Both parents want a divorce, but neither will surrender full custody. In court, her mother brandishes a kitchen knife, her father a pair of scissors, each threatening to prove they will have no more children.

As grandmother demands the divorce and Uncle Tommy quietly tends to the girl, her parents raise their offers and their stakes, each desperate to win her. She tells each of them what they long to hear, while she alone knows how little love remains between them.
