Story

The story

Celine is the real daughter brought back to a family that already has Samantha, the girl they raised. When Samantha marries Jenson, Celine's former boyfriend, the family demands Celine attend to prove Samantha did not steal him. Celine never answers their calls; her mouth is taped and she is being dismembered by Samantha's admirer, who kills her to honour Samantha's wedding day.

Her soul drifts to the wedding, where Susan, Charles and Derek comfort Samantha and blame Celine for every fault. After the wedding, a package arrives holding Celine's bloodstained bracelet, and the family reads it as a threat from the daughter they believe is alive and spiteful.

Only Celine, watching, knows the blood is her own and the sender is her murderer.

Opening excerpt

The fake daughter married my boyfriend. My mouth was taped and I was being chopped into pieces by her admirer. The entire family took turns to call me. My mother said, "How ungrateful you are. I should not have brought you home back then." Father added, "Don't bother coming back if you do not attend Samantha's wedding." Brother said, "Let me tell you, you shall root in hell if you choose not to attend the wedding."

At that moment, I didn't even have the energy to shout for help due to excessive blood loss.
