He Signed My Abortion Paper

At a prenatal checkup, Nicole runs into her husband Denis, who has lied about a work crisis to accompany his foster sister Susie through her early pregnancy. When Nicole hands him a slip of paper, he signs it without reading, then learns it is an abortion consent form. Susie dismisses it as a sick joke, and Denis, as always, believes her.

For five years Nicole has come second to Susie's endless crises, waiting on promises that never come true. She gives Denis one last chance to find her before her name is called, but the hallway stays empty. She tosses her wedding ring in the trash and applies for a relocation to London.

That night Denis brings her ginger tea, and a few sips send her into a severe allergic reaction as her airway closes.
