Story

The story

On her wedding day to Larry, Ava Stone discovers the System guiding her mission has made a terrible mistake: the man she must marry to survive is not Larry, but his best friend, Jason, the volatile heir of the Calloway family. With only one hour left before the System erases her for failure, she abandons the altar and kisses Jason to buy time.

A forced kiss earns her mere minutes, and Larry, humiliated, orders his guests to hunt her down. To keep the clock running, Ava must follow the System's scandalous plot and get closer to Jason, whose cold amusement and unpredictable cruelty make him impossible to read.

As Larry's fury closes in and her survival time drains away, Ava is bound by Jason's own hands, caught between a groom she never wanted and a dangerous man who knows exactly what she is doing.
