Story

The story

Harper has spent three years as Liam Davies's executive assistant, standing by him while Davies Corp nearly collapsed and helping bring it back from the brink. When Liam begins sponsoring a college girl named Chloe, Harper's patience is tested: Chloe mocks her clothes, accuses her of sleeping her way into her position, and humiliates her in front of business partners, while Liam only offers weak protests.

At an elite club gala, Chloe spills a drink down Harper's front and later claims Harper struck her, twisting the truth for Liam. Harper, who once trusted Liam completely, now sees him blinded by love and unwilling to defend her.

With her father waiting for her to take over the family business, Harper must decide how much longer she will keep pretending to be nothing more than an assistant.
