My Wife Surrogated For Her Ex

Connor lies doubled over with stomach cramps while his wife Catherine helps her drunk childhood sweetheart, Dean, into their apartment and lays him across the bed they share. She orders Connor to the guest room and tells him to cook Dean seafood chowder for breakfast, forgetting Connor's severe seafood allergy. When Connor asks about the medication she promised to collect, she dismisses his pain as ordinary and tells him to sort it out himself.

A week earlier, Catherine had announced she would act as a surrogate, carrying a frozen embryo created by Dean and his late girlfriend. She keeps Dean's stomach pills in her coat, pushes one into his mouth before Connor's eyes, and slaps Connor when he demands she choose between them. Dean calls the bed theirs, and Connor finally understands why she refused to replace it.

Connor walks out and calls Sadie, his childhood friend, to arrange breakfast. At dawn he finds Catherine at the stove, and on the counter crab meat, shrimp and scallops.
