Story
The story
On the night of their fifth wedding anniversary, Arissa Miranda stands beside her husband Logan Miranda and understands every word he speaks. In French, he tells his friends how his young assistant tasted, then vows to keep it from his wife, because she would leave him. They laugh. They believe the language hides them. Arissa studied in France; she has already learned of his affair, and she does not cry or confront him.
Instead, she quietly applies to a classified national research institute. In three days, she will vanish, and her identity will be erased so completely that Arissa Miranda will cease to exist. Logan, who swears he would never cheat and calls her his life, keeps lying while his assistant Angela waits in the shadows.
He fears only one thing: losing her. Her punishment is already on its way.
