Story

The story

At the supply warehouse, Shane Carter watches the factory director's son pull his drunk fiancee, Karli White, inside. He turns away and walks back to the employees' canteen, where the warehouse manager's banquet is still going. He knows this scene from before: the false accusation, the forced marriage, the ruin of his parents, and the brick that ended his life. This time he will not rush in.

His childhood friend Kevin Cooper hurries over to tell him Karli is running off with another man. Shane stays seated, then speaks loudly enough for the nearby factory directors to hear, defending Jeremy, Stanley Ziegler's son, and calling Kevin's words a lie. The directors insist on investigating, and Miss Lawrence from the factory office sends for Mr. Ziegler and the police.

Kevin presses a brick into Shane's hand and urges him to charge in and beat them. Shane drags him toward the warehouse door instead, where Karli's voice carries from inside. The trap is set, and this time Kevin stands inside it.

In the past, I had ruined my own future by rushing in and beating the factory director’s son up.

I was even framed for stealing the supplies from the warehouse.

When the warehouse keeper came over with the police officers, my fiancee deliberately ripped her own clothes. She cried and said that she came with the director to stop me from committing the crime, but I beat her up and even defiled her.

Everyone despised me, and I became a criminal.

My fiancee’s parents could not bear the rumors, and they forced me to marry her.
