Story

The story

Seraphina, the heiress of the Jiang family, has spent years chasing Hollywood's "Zen Prince," Liam Pierce, funding his career and waiting for the marriage he promised. Then, on the day of her mother's funeral, a strange pop-up warns her that Liam is only after her company and that he plans to announce his relationship with another woman.

When her estranged father, Arthur Chen, drags in Isabelle, a daughter a year older, and declares her the eldest Miss Jiang, Seraphina refuses to yield. Isabelle moves into the servants' quarters, then turns up at Liam's side, wearing Seraphina's own couture and a matching ring, claiming he has loved her for years. Liam calls Seraphina a mistake and vows to repay every cent.

But Arthur is only a kept man, and Seraphina has never needed anyone's permission to be the heiress.

Opening excerpt

I woke up on the cold marble floor of Hollywood’s "Zen Prince," Liam Pierce. He handed me my torn silk slip, his voice a low purr.

“Put this back on. It looks good.”

As I reached for it, a pop-up, like a chat box, flashed in front of my eyes.

【Heiress, drop it! That predator thinks torn silk is trashy. He saves the good stuff for his ‘White Moonlight.’ He’s just tricking you into wearing it.】
