After ninety-nine rejections, Clara Summer finally calls Ian Cumberland "brother" and blesses his relationship with Rea Jefferson. But Clara is already dead. A truck struck her while she was buying Ian's birthday cake, and a system granted her seven days to settle her affairs before her soul disappears forever.
