Story
The story
Sadie has spent years surrendering everything to Ruby, the adopted girl who looks just like her, because her parents threatened to send her away. She lets Ruby take her toys, her grades, and even her brother Mason, who turns on her after Ruby defends him once. Only Noah, her childhood friend, seems to stay by her side.
On college results day, Sadie holds a perfect SAT score and an Ivy League acceptance, but finds Noah comforting Ruby after her failed finals. He has changed his enrollment to a community college to stay with Ruby, and Mason says Sadie has a real family while Ruby only has them. Realising all their love belongs to Ruby, Sadie deletes her Ivy League acceptance and chooses a university far away.
At home, her family dumps chili-laced water on her to make Ruby smile. Sadie fights back, then throws an adoption certificate onto the table and tells her mother to kick out her biological daughter.
