Spellbound by Her

After three years of marriage, Rylan Shaw brings another woman, Nora Vance, into the home he shares with his wife, Maeve. He mocks her as a block of wood and makes no secret of the girlfriends he keeps, blaming her for a marriage she never chose. When Maeve asks him for money for Martin, who has been rushed to the ICU, he humiliates her before his friends and refuses.

Maeve shatters their wedding photo, hands Rylan the divorce papers she has long prepared, and walks out into the cold of Eventon with almost nothing. Rylan is certain she will come crawling back once she has suffered enough; his friends say the same. But a week passes, then a month, and she does not return.

Drunk and desperate, Rylan pounds on the door of her new apartment, only to find Jonah Archer there, who calls Maeve his wife. What began as a marriage of convenience has become a contest of pride, and Rylan is no longer the one in control.
