From Victim to Victor - How I Turned My Brother into My Loyal Protector

After dying under debt collectors and falling from a high-rise, a young woman wakes in her old home, back on the July day her little brother Lucas was nearly taken by child traffickers. Her mother Karen calls her a useless girl and beats her, and Lucas, spoiled and barely speaking, is the family's precious son. This time she remembers everything: the ice cream stand, the men in old-fashioned hats, the alley where Lucas was lured away with a lollipop.

She lets Lucas go, then runs back and leads a bicycle repairman and onlookers to subdue the kidnappers. She goes to the police station, gives her statement, and carries the sleeping boy home. To her mother's fury, Lucas will only cling to her, calling her sister. Slowly, through fear and whispered warnings, she binds the boy to her, and her life begins to change in a different way.

Years later, Lucas returns a broken water gun to another child, and she orders him to apologize. He obeys unwillingly, looking at her with something like hatred.
