Story

The story

In her first life, Yvonne inherited the family steakhouse and married Jonathan Landton, the richest man in Imperia, while her sister Melanie lost her legs in a fire and later killed her out of jealousy. Now both sisters are reborn at the moment of choosing their paths, and Melanie seizes the steakhouse, believing it leads to fortune. Yvonne quietly takes the homestay tester job instead, knowing what awaits her sister.

Sent to inspect a homestay, Yvonne notices a charred smell and reports it. The faulty wiring is repaired before it can spark a fire, saving the life of Joseph Quigley, a famous entrepreneur staying in the penthouse. Melanie arrives expecting a tragedy and finds her sister alive and praised instead, her jealousy barely hidden.

As Melanie's birthday party approaches, Yvonne watches her sister struggle under the weight of the steakhouse, while her own path begins to open in ways Melanie never foresaw.
