Story

The story

Three years after leaving the country, Adeline returns to Capital Airport with her twin children. The cold CEO Asher is waiting, his gaze fixed on the children, insisting he never agreed to the divorce. But Adeline has already signed the papers he once gave her as a wedding gift, the promise that let her walk away whenever she tired of him.

Their marriage was built on a vow Asher refused to break for her. When his first love Beatrix returned, she challenged Adeline to a bet: whoever made Asher break his vows nine times first would win him. Beatrix won. Adeline watched him obey Beatrix's command to keep away from her, saw the piercing and the letters tattooed on his chest, and found the prayer beads she had climbed thousands of steps to give him discarded on the ground.

Now Adeline packs his belongings, cancels their trip to Iceland, and gathers with the Beijing Circle sisters to say goodbye. She no longer cares what Asher thinks.
