Before the wedding, the husband injured my father

After getting their marriage certificate, Julia discovers the wedding ring set she ordered includes a second ring meant for Caleb's childhood sweetheart, Heidi. She returns home to find Caleb moving a pregnant Heidi into the house, ordering Julia to cook for her and give up the master bedroom. Then her mother calls: her father has been beaten and crippled. Caleb attacked him simply because he glanced at Heidi in passing, calling him a pervert who frightened a pregnant woman.

When Caleb demands the bracelet left by Julia's late sister for Heidi, she finally makes a call of her own: the wedding is canceled, the company shares are to be taken back, and within seven days both of them will be ruined. In court, Caleb testifies against her father without a flicker of guilt, and the surveillance footage Julia submits as key evidence plays only as static.

Nine years of quiet devotion now hang on a single question: can Julia prove the truth before the people who destroyed her family walk away untouched?
