Bulletproof Heart Finally Breaks

Isabella Rossi, a mafia princess, spent a year chasing Don Lorenzo Moretti until he finally claimed her. For ten years she was his lucky charm at the poker table, took shots for him, and even took a bullet for him. Then, at their engagement party, he left her standing alone, and she returned home to find him kissing her stepsister, Juliana.

A week later, Lorenzo shows up at her door reeking of whiskey and takes her to bed, only to leave the moment Juliana calls. Isabella decides to marry into the Romano family in Sicily instead. Returning to his estate to pack, she finds a hidden room lined with over twenty oil paintings of Juliana, some dated before their relationship began.

When Lorenzo carries an injured Juliana into the villa, Isabella confronts him about her stepsister's mother, the woman who destroyed her family. He calls her dramatic, and Juliana holds up a gold ring.
