My Daughter Died On the Way to the Competition

Daniel Smith has spent years as a full-time father while his wife, Ava Williams, controls the household. On the day of their daughter Chloe's dance competition, Ava promises to drive her to the venue, then leaves the girl alone in the suburbs after a phone call. Daniel finds Chloe later, badly injured in a reed marsh, her competition jewelry gone.

At the hospital, the doctor says only Dr. Brown, a renowned surgeon and Ava's aunt, can save Chloe. But when Daniel calls Ava, a male voice answers, and she refuses to believe him, accusing him of lying about their daughter. He rushes to the Menghi International Community, where Ava is with her childhood sweetheart Justin Walker, who twists every word against him.

With Chloe's surgery hanging by a thread, Ava pushes Daniel away to tend to Justin, leaving Daniel to fight alone for the one person who still matters.
