Story
The story
Four hours after her death, Michelle Reed's husband Victor and her sister Julia stand in the morgue, desperate to extract her memories. A note taped to the drawer claims whoever murdered her drank a poison called Crimson Truth that will eat through their gut within twenty-four hours, and only the antidote hidden in her brain can save them. Detective Grant agrees to the procedure, warning that any incriminating evidence will be admissible in court.
As the machine plays her final memories, Michelle's voice taunts them, revealing the wine they drank to celebrate her death was never poisoned. Victor and Julia unravel under the illusion, while their lawyer Ferguson moves to destroy the evidence before it exposes their crimes.
But the dead have already set the rules of the game, and every move they make only tightens the trap she left behind.
