The Control Group

Rich Blackwood’s younger brother is filming a reality dating show at the family estate, and Rich and his wife Nora become its unwitting control group. At first the internet mocks Nora as the wallpaper wife, the bland backdrop to Leo Blackwood and Seraphina Vance’s glittering romance. Her husband is distant, her mother-in-law impossible.

Then the comments begin to change. Viewers beg the producers for more screen time for Rich and his wife, and Seraphina, sensing the shift, pulls Nora onto camera and into her wedding-dress and ring talk. Nora, still exhausted from Rich’s return, stays silent about their arranged marriage and the ceremony she refused.

As the audience’s attention drifts from the celebrated couple to the quiet one, Nora must decide how much of her private life she is willing to let the cameras see.
