The Canary and the Compromise

On the day of their third anniversary, Liam is consumed by a young college student, and their affair is intense and public. His wife Chloe keeps playing the gentle, understanding wife of a wealthy man, even covering for him before both families. When the girl sneaks to the family estate to demand that Liam's grandfather acknowledge her, Chloe helps defuse the scene and get her out in one piece.

Tired of the role, Chloe finally asks Liam for a divorce. He refuses, insisting their corporate alliance makes divorce complicated, and cuts her off. She packs her bags and moves out, letting him believe she is merely jealous while she spends his money freely.

At an exclusive club with her friend Sarah, Chloe is caught in the arms of a male model when Liam storms in, his face dark with fury.
