Story

The story

Leo's father dies with a final revelation: his mother Elizabeth is alive, remarried, and took his two older sisters when she fled his father's gambling debts. Leaving his trailer park behind, Leo travels to Boston and finds her in a wealthy suburb, along with a family he never knew — sisters Victoria and Chloe, step-siblings Harper and Ethan, and his mother's new husband, Uncle Richard.

Welcomed into a world of luxury and affection, Leo is doted on by his new family. But not everyone is pleased. Harper, Uncle Richard's daughter, makes her feelings known by smashing up his room in the middle of the night, forcing Victoria and Chloe to intervene.

As Leo settles into his new life, he must navigate the tensions simmering beneath the surface of this sprawling household — and discover what his late father meant by a secret weapon.

Opening excerpt

Before my dad took his last breath, he left me a huge surprise.

He told me my mom wasn't dead. She had remarried, taking my two older sisters with her.

I left our small trailer park to find her, only to discover I didn't just have two sisters anymore. I had...

One, two, three, four new siblings.

The eldest sister, the CFO of the family empire: "Pick a gem, Leo. Can't decide? Just take them all."

The second sister, Hollywood's new "It Girl": "I got you VIP tickets to my concert, front row center! It's all yours."
