Story

The story

After a supposed skiing accident, Nancy Valente has been missing for three months. Her husband, Jensen Johnston, has spent that time searching the mountains, barely sleeping, while her friends urge him to give up. Then he spots her in a bar, laughing in Finley Bennett's arms, calling her disappearance a lesson for him and planning to return once he has lost his mind.

I stayed in the shadows, watching her bask in her little escape act.
