Boundless Jasmine

For years, Vivian has played the entertainment industry's pure white jasmine for her patron, Raymond Davies, acting devoted while loving only his money and resources. When Raymond shifts his favor to Celeste, handing her the endorsements and film role he once promised Vivian, Vivian feels not heartbreak but relief: at last she has a reason to seek a new patron, and Victor Sterling is already waiting.

But Raymond's whims still rule her career. A borrowed couture gown is snatched for Celeste's debut, and on set Celeste's provocations end with Vivian standing in a pond, ordered by Raymond to apologize or stay. Vivian refuses, and the standoff leaves her future—and her carefully planned escape—hanging in the balance.
