Story

The story

In her past life, a woman rejected the wealthy Julian King's lavish gifts and proposal, only to spend decades as an ordinary white-collar worker, dying ill and poor after her best friend Chloe Xu admitted she had sabotaged her out of jealousy. Now reborn to the moment before she refused him, she accepts his offer of a fully paid European-style villa in Cloud District. Julian is overjoyed, and she resolves to keep him close, knowing his kindness is genuine.

Yet Chloe still whispers that relying on a man is worse than relying on yourself, urging her to refuse. This time the woman plays along, hinting the villa could be passed to Chloe instead, and watches her friend's composure crack at the mention of a house worth more than ten million.

As Julian eagerly agrees to help her move, she wonders how long Chloe can hide her envy.
