My blind husband cheated on me with his nurse. So, I married his father and became his stepmother.

For eight years, Aurora Vance stayed married to Caleb Hayes, the blind man she once saved, bound by gratitude rather than love. The moment his bandages come off after a cornea transplant, he falls for the nurse who removes them, Serena Vance, and casts Aurora aside. When she files for divorce, she learns their marriage certificate was a fake, and Caleb's cruelty does not stop there: he replaces their son Leo's life-saving medication and sends mother and child to a war-torn country.

At a lavish engagement party, Aurora exposes Serena's past, and the fallout follows her to the Thorne family's own celebration, where Julian Thorne blocks her path and demands she kneel before Blair Sterling. Aurora reveals that she is marrying Marcus Blackwood, Julian's stepfather, and that Leo is Julian's son. As Julian's memories begin to fracture, a call from the hospital warns that Leo is having an episode.

Aurora races to the garage, only for Blair to block her car and Julian to drag her to the ground. With Marcus's bodyguards summoned, the standoff leaves her son's life hanging in the balance.
