Took You Long Enough

Five years after his death, William Wright lingers as a ghost, watching his widow Delia Foster storm into his old apartment with a forged agreement. A doctor, she demands he take the fall for Harlan Sloane, her first love, whose malpractice case now threatens his license. When the shop owner Mr. Parker tells her William has been dead five years, stabbed by the family of that malpractice case, she laughs it off and threatens to cut off his sister's cancer treatment if he doesn't appear within three days. But Raine Wright died years ago, unable to pay for care.

Delia refuses to believe it, convinced William is hiding. She turns to Harlan, who feigns panic but secretly mutters William's name with cold hatred. At Citadel Hospital, she asks for Raine and is met by Lena Wynn, a former colleague who reminds her she was absent when they were dying. The nurse confirms Raine passed away three years ago. Delia freezes, the truth finally landing as William watches, still chained to her.
