My Husband Played Dead for His First Love,Until He Lost Me Forever

Mary Fox has spent three years scavenging to survive, ever since her husband Clement Delgado was declared dead and every card in her name was cancelled. Then he steps out of a Rolls-Royce at the landfill and tells her she has passed his test. At a college reunion, his ex-girlfriend Mildred Sullivan dared him to fake his death and cut Mary off, betting that Mary's loyalty would hold. He took the bet, certain she would wait forever.

He asks for their daughter Camille. Mary tells him the child died after her surgery money ran out. He refuses to believe it, and Mildred, who forged the death papers he once used, picks apart the certificate in Mary's hand and calls it a fake. Clement turns on his wife, ordering her to bring Camille home or face divorce.

Mildred whispers that she kept every trace of Camille's illness from him, and that the girl's organs were taken. Mary takes her fight to Delgado Corp, where the company offers her a settlement instead of justice.
