Story

The story

When bombs are strapped to the academician Jeremiah Jenner, Hope Linwood knows she can save him by cutting the right wire. But her husband, Callum Johnson, pins her hand down, insisting she wait for his crush, Shirley Gibson, to play the hero. Hope remembers her previous life: Shirley's mistakes nearly killed the hostage, and Hope was the one who saved him. For that, Callum sent her to the border as a spy, then leaked her coordinates to her enemies, leaving her to die while he embraced Shirley.

Now Hope has returned to the same scene, pliers in hand. She steps back and lets Shirley take over. The deputy commander warns that the black wire will detonate the bomb, but Callum silences him and trusts Shirley's judgment. When she cuts it, the timer jumps and VX nerve gas floods the room.

As Shirley flees and Callum calls for her rescue, Hope stands calm, knowing the trap is worse than before.
