She Stole My Wedding, So I Left

For five years, Sophia has loved Ethan Carter, tolerating his endless devotion to Ava Taylor, the childhood sweetheart he insists he only pities. He abandons her mid-date when Ava calls, spends his first paycheck on Ava, and stays at Ava's side for days during a hurricane while Sophia waits alone. When Sophia finally demands he choose, he laughs it off and promises she is the only one he loves.

Then Sophia arrives at her own wedding to find Ava standing at the altar in her dress. Ethan calls it a harmless trial run, and the two walk down the aisle together while their friends cheer. When Sophia congratulates them and throws back her engagement ring, Ethan chases her down only to blame her for making a scene, then rushes upstairs the moment Ava claims to feel unwell.

Done with being told to be the bigger person, Sophia walks away and reaches out to a former labmate who once invited her to Europe. She is ready to leave Ethan, his family's company, and Ava behind for good.
