Story

The story

Jayden Clement wakes from surgery that removed part of his brainstem tissue to awaken Gerald Lowe, the man his wife Claudia Yates has prayed for in an abbey for seven years. The operation cost Jayden roughly seven years of memory, leaving his mind stuck in the year he graduated university. When Claudia learns he donated the tissue, she assumes he is playing hard to get and strips him of every position, then promotes Gerald and raises his salary.

Claudia believes Jayden is the husband who swallowed every grievance, but he is now the proud young man of seven years ago. He hands her a resignation letter and a divorce agreement, refusing to apologize for a past he cannot recall. Isaac Spencer, his childhood friend, defends him, while Gerald plays the wounded innocent and Claudia accuses Jayden of pushing Gerald off a building years ago.

Jayden has already contacted a lawyer to file for divorce. Claudia, certain he is bluffing to exploit a family favor, loses her composure as he vows never to be wronged again.
