The Hostage Husband's Requiem

On the last days of their honeymoon, Cynthia lures her husband into an abandoned warehouse and hands him over to Blake, a bald syndicate leader, as collateral. Her first love, Julian, drunkenly ran over the girlfriend of a powerful boss, and Cynthia intends to trade her husband for him. She promises Blake thirty million dollars within three days, then carries the bloodied Julian away, swearing she will return.

Left in a pitch-black cell, the husband has his legs shattered and endures beatings meant for another man, clinging to the belief that his wife will come for him. Instead, Blake shows him a video of Cynthia and Julian hand in hand on a beach, and a call confirms she never intended to pay. As the truth of her betrayal closes in, he resolves that when he is free, he will divorce her.
