The Sacrificial Husband

When his younger brother dies in a car crash, Tyler promises to care for the man's pregnant widow, Gwen, and their unborn child. He marries her to give the baby a stable home and gives up his own chance at love, raising Liam as his only son for seven years. Yet Gwen never looks at him with anything like love, and Liam grows to despise him just as fiercely.

After years of humiliation, Tyler finally files for divorce, and Gwen mocks him by tossing the papers from a speeding car. His leap to retrieve them makes headlines, but the contempt at home only deepens. At his brother's grave, Gwen orders him to stay out all night, and Liam calls him a freeloader who tried to replace his father. Then Julian Campbell, Gwen's childhood sweetheart and her company's executive vice president, appears, and Tyler watches his wife and the boy he raised fawn over another man.

Seven years of keeping his promise have left Tyler with nothing but a clear conscience. Now he must decide whether to keep enduring their cruelty or finally reclaim his dignity.
