The story

Chloe Vance is the real heiress, only just returned to the billionaire Vance family after a hospital fire swapped the babies at birth. She has no interest in competing for the family empire. Instead she slacks off, fishes, plays street chess in the park, and quietly stacks cash while the fake heiress, Veronica Vance, works to secure the company and flaunts her wealthy fiancé.

Veronica warns Chloe to know her place and stay in the dark. Chloe answers by demanding an allowance, recording the threats, and collecting payouts from Veronica and her sneering high-society friends at the welcome banquet. When rivals push the family business toward bankruptcy and Veronica flees with her designer bags, Chloe's father begs her to save them, and she calls her scruffy chess buddy for help.
