The Broken Wife's Unforgivable Doom

Every afternoon, a six-year-old boy named Leondre waits at the Ritz-Carlton hotel where his mother, Adela McCarthy, works as a maid. He has no father; the man left before he was born. One evening a stranger named Andre Levetté invites the lonely boy to dine with his wealthy family, and the Levettés are struck by how much the child resembles them.

When Adela arrives to collect her son, the reunion turns cold. Andre remembers a marriage that ended in betrayal, and the Levettés believe she cheated and stole from them. Jeanine, Andre's mother, sees her grandson and suspects the truth was never what it seemed.

Adela has sworn never to cross the Levettés' path again, yet her son now sits at their table.
