Decades of loyalty seem meaningless. Irene has devoted himself to her family until he left behind a mature and successful career. She wants to devote all her attention to her children and husband.

Before Gustavo was as successful as he is now, his daily life was economically lacking. Irene never complained in order to protect her husband's heart. She always gives in to his needs and puts the needs of family members first.
