Story

The story

After rejecting the 999th consort candidate her master, Madam Freya, had introduced, a once-in-a-lifetime genius of Nymphomist magic fails to survive the Trial of Lightning and dies. She wakes in another body, in another world, where beauty standards are utterly unlike those of the elven world.

There she meets Matteo Valencia, the richest man alive, who has been despised since childhood for his sculpted face and body — considered hideous in a world that prizes round, flat-faced men. When she throws herself at him, he seizes her by the neck, disgusted that she would want him only for his money. Her awful parents, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe, try to barter their daughter Cher for his investment.

Yet his touch floods her barren Source with spirit energy, and a kiss pours in ten times more. Intimacy with this insecure, unloved man may be the only way to recover her lost magic — and she has no intention of letting him go.

Opening excerpt

"What the hell are you waiting for? You're the once-in-a-lifetime genius of Nymphomist magic, and yet you've never gone through the Great Rite! You're not getting any younger, girl. At this rate, how are you supposed to improve your spiritual power?!"

I sighed.

Of course I wanted to find a consort and perform the Great Rite already. But every single one of those candidates looked like shit.

Unfortunately, my absurdly high standards for men ended up stalling my spiritual power for too long.
