Story

The story

Kian Monroe was born so handsome that his face made local news and drew marriage proposals before he could walk. After two girls were hospitalized fighting over him, his parents moved and hid his looks under cosmetics, giving him a plain, ordinary life. Bullied and called ugly, he was rescued by Faye, who climbed through a classroom window and told him looks aren't everything. He followed her to university, and she asked him to be her boyfriend.

At a party, Faye chooses Kian for the ice bucket challenge over Nolan, the campus heartthrob, but her eyes keep drifting to Nolan, and she leaves to drive him home, knocking Kian down as she rushes past. Feverish and alone, Kian calls her and hears Nolan's voice instead, along with a recording of Faye's wavering answer to Nolan's question about breaking up.

When Kian recovers, he learns he has lost his place hosting Ivy League professors, the credit he needed for his dream study abroad. He must decide whether to confront Faye about what he heard.
