Story

The story

After a friend's funeral, Summer takes in the woman's orphaned son, Liam, mostly on a whim. His relatives scheme over his mother's house and money, and Summer warns him plainly: she owes his mother a favor, not him, and if his inheritance is stolen, he must win it back himself one day.

Liam moves into her guest room and drafts a repayment agreement for his living costs and tuition, refusing to stay unless she signs. Summer, who runs a small design studio with her best friend Harper, would rather he simply study, yet his stubborn pride makes her relent.

Between his silent presence in her home and Harper's chaotic plans, Summer's quiet life is no longer her own.
