Deadly Prank: April Fool’s Office Killing

On April Fool's Day, an office targets Helen, the quiet new hire, with a prank: a bucket of water rigged above the stage. The rope snaps, the iron bucket strikes her head, and Helen dies before everyone's eyes. In an instant, the whole room becomes complicit.

When one colleague insists on calling the police, Andrew the manager refuses, warning that none of them will escape blame. He proposes a lie: Helen slipped on the wet floor and struck her head on the steps. The others fall in line, scrubbing the blood and staging the body. Only one voice keeps objecting, and is silenced, bound and left in the corner.

Then a box of cupcakes is found beneath Helen's desk, one for every employee, with a card thanking them for their care.
