He Traded Our Unborn Child For His Mistress

Everyone in their circle knows that being Preston Thorne's mistress comes with platinum healthcare, trust funds and overseas retreats, and his wife Kinsley is the reason. When Preston fixates on Summer, a young woman devoted to her penniless boyfriend, Kinsley delays him long enough for Summer to escape. Preston retaliates by committing Kinsley to a private psychiatric facility, and her brother Jared's ruin leaves her no choice but to obey.

After a highway pile-up leaves her injured, Kinsley overhears Preston threatening Summer's boyfriend over the phone. He believes the crash was a stunt to compete with Summer, and she stops arguing. She becomes the compliant wife, quietly routing Summer to his chauffeur, his bisque and his tailor, while Jared's debts keep her silent.

Months later, Preston comes home for dinner, and Summer's perfume clings to him. When he calls Summer's name, Kinsley shoves him away and retches. Then Summer arrives, dressed in couture and jewels, and Kinsley understands what she has accepted.
