Sasha Clarke is pushed a termination notice by her boss, Richard Wade, after a ten-million-dollar contract goes missing. Across the room, intern Lily Clarke sobs into the chest of Ethan Miller, Sasha's boyfriend of five years, who tells Sasha to take the fall for the sake of Lily's future. Richard reminds her that Lily's father heads Skyhigh Group, on whom the company's funding depends.

Sasha has lived this before: in her past life she begged for proof, was blacklisted, and died by suicide on a rainy night while the others rose on the investment Lily secured.
