I was about to retort when Elvis walked in holding some documents.

He first pinched Fiona's cheek, his tone affectionate: "Princess, the makeup team I hired for you is here. Go on now."

Then he tossed a file at me: "Sign this."

I glanced down briefly - it was a resignation letter and a project transfer agreement.

It was for the project I had built up over 5 years at Mr. Johnson's company - their most profitable project.

They had probably agreed to transfer it to Fiona.

Even if he didn't bring up resigning, I was already planning to quit since I was leaving tonight anyway.

I picked up the pen and signed, responding flatly: "Okay."

A flash of confusion crossed Elvis's face, as if he hadn't expected me to give up my hard work so easily.

He carelessly tossed a gift box at me like throwing away trash. "Sorry for the trouble lately. This is to make it up to you."

Seeing I had no reaction to the gift, Elvis grew angry: "What's your problem?Lisa, I'm warning you, don't be so ungrateful."

I threw the gift back at him. "Elvis Smith, we're breaking up."

Elvis heard Fiona calling him from outside and looked at me with disdain. "Playing this game again? You think you can really bear to leave me?"

Tonight was a garden party at home to celebrate the return of the Johnsons' princess.

As I walked past with my suitcase, the place was lively.

"Fiona and Elvis really are a perfect match. Only a flawless woman like you is worthy of Elvis."

Fiona basked in the praise.

"Where'sLisa? How could she not show up on such an important day?"

Elvis had also noticed I hadn't appeared all night.

He suddenly remembered what I had said earlier and frowned slightly.

His friends laughed and reassured him: "Trust me,Lisa will definitely come down to make a scene later. After all, there aren't many men as great as you, Elvis. She'll cling to you for dear life."

As I approached, they started jeering: "See, I told you no one can resist Elvis's charm!"

Elvis's furrowed brow relaxed. He told the security staff: "Keep a close eye later. I don't want her causing a scene and embarrassing me."

Just as he finished speaking, a cool and dignified man walked in through the party entrance.

His arrival immediately caused exclamations from the crowd: "Isn't that Galen? Didn't he move to the capital? Did he come back specially for Fiona's party?"

Amid envious glances, Fiona walked towards Galen, extending her hand expectantly:

"Hello, I'm Fiona Johnson, the eldest daughter of the Johnson family."

Galen walked right past Fiona to me, naturally taking my hand:

"I'm here to take you home."

Feeling Galen's warmth in my palm, I couldn't help blushing and nodding messily: "Okay."

Seeing Galen and I standing together, Fiona angrily stomped her foot.

We had only taken a few steps out when Elvis, his face black as thunder, blocked our way.

He stared at me with bloodshot eyes: "Lisa, you're really leaving with him?"
