They Hunted the Wrong Monster

A rich young man invites a woman he met online to dinner, hoping to trap her. Encouraged by his flattery, she orders a feast fit for ten—king crab, lobster, French caviar—while a hidden camera streams her every move to a jeering audience. He tells her that if she cannot finish it all, she pays the ninety-five-thousand-dollar bill.

But the woman does not panic. She calmly eats every last bite, leaving not a single grain of rice, and the livestream's mockery turns to disbelief. As the watchers struggle to explain her, a friend of the man, Simon Hayes, approaches their table and orders coffee, his scent catching her attention.
